WJThis Week with Jesus

Privacy policy

Your contact information stays for this purpose.

Effective August 23, 2026. This policy covers the This Week with Jesus website and weekly email, SMS, and MMS devotional program.

How message consent is collected

The production signup form will ask a recipient to enter their mobile number and actively check a separate consent box. The box will not be preselected. Creating an account, entering an email address, or viewing this policy does not grant SMS or MMS consent.

This is an illustration only. Consent will be collected on the signup form shown on the family beta signup page.

Information processed

The program processes the email address used for an account and weekly email delivery, saved delivery choices, and account preferences. When text enrollment opens, the program will also process the mobile number used to opt in, the account identifier, consent and opt-out status, consent timestamp and language version, signup source, message delivery information, and inbound keywords such as STOP and HELP. The website may also store one-way digests of IP address and browser details, plus basic security and service logs needed to document consent and operate reliably.

How information is used

Email information is used to secure the account and deliver the weekly devotional when email is selected. Mobile information is used only to document and manage consent, deliver the weekly devotional message by SMS or MMS, respond to help requests, prevent abuse, and meet legal or carrier requirements.

No mobile-data sharing for marketing

Mobile phone numbers and SMS or MMS consent information are not sold, rented, or shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. SMS information may be provided only to service providers working on our behalf to deliver and secure the messages, including Twilio, or when required by law.

Message frequency and charges

The program sends approximately one message per week, normally on Monday. Message and data rates may apply according to the recipient's wireless plan.

Your choices

Every weekly email includes an unsubscribe link, and email delivery can also be paused or resumed in the subscriber account. Unsubscribing from weekly delivery does not delete the account or stop necessary account-security emails. A subscriber can permanently delete their account from the account page after confirming their password and the deletion request. For text, reply STOP to cancel messages at any time or HELP for program information. Recipients can also manage delivery preferences in their account. After a text opt-out, recurring messages resume only after the recipient provides fresh affirmative consent. Opt-out requests are honored through Twilio's messaging controls.

Retention and security

Information is retained only as long as reasonably needed to operate the program, document consent, prevent unwanted messages, and meet legal or carrier obligations. Account deletion removes the login, profile, preferences, and active subscriptions. De-identified security, delivery, and consent records may be retained when needed for abuse prevention, carrier compliance, or legal obligations. Reasonable administrative and technical safeguards are used, but no online service can guarantee absolute security.
